Medical weight loss
We offer the following medical weight loss programs at our clinic using GLP-1 medications Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. These medications increase the body’s production of insulin, decreases glucose production, and decreases appetite. If GLP-1’s aren’t a good fit for you, we offer alternative weight loss options that we can discuss.
Medical Weight Loss
Weight loss is never as simple as “eat less, move more.” We see women every day who are making healthy choices and still not seeing results—and it’s not your fault.
Hormones, inflammation, insulin resistance, thyroid function, stress, and sleep all play a role in how your body holds onto or lets go of weight.
As nurse practitioners, we dig into the root causes so we can tailor a sustainable, medically sound plan that honors your individual needs.
A Personalized Approach
At Replenish, we take a science-backed, personalized approach to weight loss—because it’s never just about calories.
Our medical weight loss program looks at the whole picture:
- Hormones
- Metabolism
- Insulin resistance
- Sleep & stress
- Your unique health history
We offer tools and supportive injections, but even more importantly—we offer a compassionate, realistic path forward that’s designed for YOUR body.
If you’re tired of dieting and ready to feel like yourself again, we’re here to help you get there—without shame, and with support.
Obesity in our country is affecting most of our population. It is the leading cause of many long term health issues including diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and stroke. These health issues increase mortality. Losing 5-10% of the body weight can reduce risks of complications of these conditions, particularly of cardiovascular origin. Although using medical weight loss results in shedding pounds, our goal is to help you identify and implement the lifestyle changes that will result in healthy habits and sustained weight loss. Semaglutide was approved in 2021 and Tirzepatide was approved in 2023 for management of obesity in those with a BMI of 30 kg/m2 or greater or those who are overweight with a BMI of 27 kg/m2 and have at least one other medical condition (such as hypertension, type II diabetes, or high cholesterol).
Our Weight Loss Program
The first step to starting the program is scheduling a weight loss consultation. This consultation is about one hour long. It involves review of your medical history and labs. The consultation can be done via zoom or in-person. If it is on zoom, you will need to schedule an appointment to come pick up your product from the clinic and learn how to give yourself injections. Follow-up appointments are every 4-6 weeks to monitor your progress throughout the program. Appointments are typically 30 minutes long and entail weighing in, discussion about success and challenges, caloric and macros daily intake, and activity guidance.
The Replenish medical weight loss program is different than many others in the following ways:
- We collect and our Nurse Practitioner reviews your thorough medical history to ensure you are a good candidate for medical weight loss.
- We do additional screening with lab tests (required before you start and every 3-6 months while on the program) to look for any health issues not already identified.
- Monthly (or more frequent) in person visits to answer questions, manage side effects, monitor weight loss (including muscle mass assessments), and provide accountability. During these visits, we will customize dosing to ensure your continued success.
- We only work with FDA approved pharmacies that use third party testing to verify purity and sterility, no salt bases, and made specifically for human use.
- We offer certified health coaching (for an additional cost) with personalized nutrition, exercise and lifestyle counseling.
- We closely monitor your body composition to ensure you are losing fat with minimal muscle mass loss.

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide
We offer the following medical weight loss programs at our clinic using GLP-1 medications Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. These medications increase the body’s production of insulin, decreases glucose production, and decreases appetite. If GLP-1’s aren’t a good fit for you, we offer alternative weight loss options that we can discuss.
What is GIP?
Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) reduces appetite and food intake.
What are GLP-1 analogs?
Glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) is a hormone made in the gut. It stimulates insulin secretion, inhibits glucagon secretion, slows gastric emptying, and helps regulate the appetite. All of these result in weight loss.
What is the difference between Semiglutide and Tirzepatide ?
Both work to regulate your blood sugar, slow gastric emptying, and block glucagon made in the liver. This makes you full longer, and your body releases less sugar. These combined actions lead to homeostasis of glucose which results in burning fat. This leads to decreased appetite and weight loss. The GIP in Tirzepatide further suppresses appetite.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1. It has been shown in clinical trials to be up to twice as effective as other weight loss drugs with up to 15-20% body weight loss.
Tirzepatide is a GLP-1 with GIP. In clinical trials, those using Tirzepatide lost an average of 20.9% of their body weight.
What are the side effects?
Usually these medications are well tolerated, though common side effects include nausea, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Tirzepatide is generally better tolerated. If side effects are present, we will often modify dosing to mitigate these effects. Many report a positive effect of decreased desire for sweets and alcohol.
Who cannot take these weight loss medications?
Those with a personal of family history of medullary thyroid cancer (MEN Type 2), those with type 1 diabetes, history of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), history of diabetic retinopathy, history of pancreatitis, severe kidney or liver problems, or if you have had an allergic reaction to a GLP-1
How will I receive it?
Once your intake is complete and you have decided on the program option you are most interested in, we will have you return to the office to pick up your product and supplies and have you perform your first injection. You will then self administer at home once weekly.
Where do the medications come from?
We work closely with US pharmacies that do not use the salt base forms. These pharmacies are approved by the FDA for manufacturing these medications, use third party testing for verification of purity and sterility, and follow all FDA guidelines.
Why not buy online?
Though online options are available, many are using product that has not been tested for validity, purity, or composition. Some online options are providing medications not produced in FDA approved facilities, not for human use (salt base) or for research purposes only. Often these services do not offer Practitioner consult with incomplete intake and laboratory testing.
Alternate Weight Loss Options
In the event Semaglutide or Tirzepatide are not a good fit for you, we will work together to develop alternative medical management weight loss options.
- Wellbutrin/low dose naltrexone (LDN)
- Metformin
- Nasal spray oxytocin
- Lipo Mino
FAQs on GLP-1
Is it normal to experience a decrease in appetite when starting the medication?
Yes! It is very normal to experience a loss of appetite. You must ensure that you are eating an adequate amount of protein and calories to maintain your muscle mass. To boost your protein intake, consider having protein shakes in the morning, carrying beef sticks, protein bars, low fat cheese sticks, or nuts as snacks throughout the day.
How many pounds a week will I lose on the GLP-1?
On a GLP-1 medication for weight loss, you can typically expect to lose about 1-2 pounds per week. This rate can vary depending on individual factors like starting weight, metabolism, and adherence to the treatment plan.
Do you offer microdosing with the GLP-1, and is the price the same or discounted?
Yes, we do! Our nurse practitioner, Dana will discuss with you what pricing will be if a “microdosing program” with a GLP-1 medication is preferred by the patient. A microdosing program is usually designed for individuals looking to maintain their weight loss results or take a gentler approach to GLP-1 therapy. With smaller, consistent doses, this program helps support appetite control, blood sugar regulation, and overall wellness without the intensity of standard dosing.
How long does tapering take when coming off the GLP-1?
Typically 1 – 2 months, depending on the individual patient.
Are there any recommended supplements to take while starting the medication?
Incorporating a prebiotic and a probiotic is highly recommended to alleviate indigestion and heartburn. Additionally, it is a great idea to incorporate an iron, B-complex, magnesium, and potassium as well.
Is it common to have low energy levels while on the medication? And what can I do to offset the symptoms of fatigue?
If you are feeling low on energy, try drinking a glass of water, moving your body (walk, yoga, lifting weights, biking ect.) for at least 15 minutes. Exercise will help to boost your metabolism, which will in-turn increase your energy levels. Additionally, taking a daily multivitamin, B-complex, and D3 supplement has been shown to help with energy levels.
When my last dose was increased, I experienced more heartburn and indigestion. How can I modify my diet to alleviate this?
Avoid eating greasy, fried and fatty foods. Avoid sugar and candy, chips, and snacks. Your diet should consist of lean proteins, and veggies/fruits. Eat protein and veggies at the beginning of your meal then a small amount of carbs at the end. Some people notice improvement in heartburn with cutting back on caffeine intake.
How can I manage the nausea?
Avoid an empty stomach. Digestive enzymes and ginger in all forms (tea, lozenges, low sugar, ginger ale etc.) can be helpful. If you are vomiting, please call the clinic. Our clinic phone number is: 360-755-5148
I have heard low blood sugar can occur. What is this?
This is called hypoglycemia. This occurs when the sugar in your circulatory system is too low. Symptoms may include feeling jittery, brain fog, sweaty palms, and irritability. If this occurs, eat a small snack with food fat and sugar. For example: A banana and peanut butter, small glass of milk, fruit and nuts). Please let us know if this occurs.
What is Lipo Mino?
This is an optional add on injection for those on the weight loss program, or as a stand alone. It can improve energy, metabolism, and reduce side effects. These substances are involved in fat metabolism (lipotropics) and help by maintaining a healthy liver. The liver plays an important role in human metabolism like storing glucose, breaking down protein, and removing toxic substances from the body. It also produces bile which aids in digestion and the breakdown of fats.
Mino
- Methionine: an essential amino acid required during the body’s production of choline. It reduces fat and aids in lowering cholesterol by assisting with the breakdown of sugars and carbohydrates and converts them into energy.
- Inositol: metabolizes fats and cholesterol and aids in transporting fat in the blood system. It helps with redistribution of body fat and can help to lower cholesterol levels. It helps the body convert food into energy.
- Choline: choline is a fat emulsifier which helps with the processing of cholesterol so that it does not settle on the walls of arteries. It is also essential for nerve and brain function.
- B6: Promotes red blood cell production and helps convert food into energy.
- B1 Thiamine: Improves immune function and helps to convert fat into energy.
- B2 Riboflavin: Increases metabolism and supports immune function.
- Carnitine: Improves fat metabolism and energy, reduces recovery times, and promotes muscle building potential. The amino acids (methionine, inositol, and choline) plus B12 stimulates the liver to increase fat metabolism. As soon as the effect of these substances wear off the body begins to gradually return to its normal metabolic rate.
This is generally well tolerated, but potential side effects are nausea and diarrhea.
- Other benefits: assists with lowering cholesterol, fatty liver disease, and insulin resistance.
- Benefits: increases energy production, and exercise performance.
